"A Message from NERV Disaster Prevention App" will be shown at some viewings of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time"

Gehirn Inc. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Daiki Ishimori; hereinafter referred to as 'Gehirn'), will, from the 8th of March until the 19th of March, 2021, show advertisements for the "NERV Disaster Prevention" app at select theatres showing "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time".

The 15-second version of "The History of Tsunamis" episode of the "NERV Disaster Awareness Series" (https://youtu.be/O27aHl-w9M4), which has been available since December 11, 2020, will be shown at select theatres showing "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time". All theatres in the three Tohoku prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima, and some theatres in urban areas, are eligible to show the ad. Please comply with the infection control measures of each theatre when you visit.

The narration of the "NERV Disaster Awareness Series" was done by Koichi Yamadera, a voice actor from Miyagi Prefecture.

The timing for the screening of the film (around March 11th), was chosen to help raise awareness of the need for disaster prevention, as there was another earthquake on the 13th of February with a maximum seismic intensity of 6+ that occurred off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, just 1 month shy of the 10th anniversary of the 3/11 Great East Japan Earthquake.

At our request, we selected all theatres in those three Tohoku prefectures where we could show the film, but some theatres, such as the Pole Pole Cinema in Iwaki-Onahama, are very close to the coastline and are at a higher risk of tsunamis, so we made sure to specify these cinemas as well. We hope that our cinema advertisements will encourage people to be more prepared for disasters.

Gehirn will continue to work on further strengthening the distribution of disaster prevention information.
